Suit against Dept of Corrections a success

Thanks to the amazing work of Attorney Rob McDuff and Beth Orlansky from the Mississippi Center for Justice, we are no longer barred from sending books to Parchman or South Mississippi Correctional Institution, and are officially written into the Dept of Corrections policy. This also paves the way for other nonprofit groups who send free books, or will send books in the future.

Summer wish list

Hi friends,

As Mississippi warms up, we have a few extra items on our wish list:

-Standing or tabletop fan
-Bottled water

Thanks for your support!

Current book needs:

  • Composition books
  • Adult coloring books
  • Astrology
  • Sign language

We could also use new packs of colored pencils, as some prisoners are able to receive them. Thanks!

Giving Tuesday

This Giving Tuesday, we would like to raise enough funds to send packages of books to 250 prisoners over the holidays. Incarceration is never easy, and this time of year is especially difficult for those behind bars.

We have joined The Newman’s Own fundraising challenge for Giving Tuesday and would love if you could sign up for our fundraising team and invite your friends.

Simply¬† click the big FUNDRAISE FOR THIS CAMPAIGN button and you’ll instantly have your own fundraising page as a part of our Team.

Thanks for your support!
